Jersey Rockhoppers To Host 
1st Annual Pro Tryout Camp
Richard J. Codey Arena in West Orange, NJ
August 15th – 17th, 2008


Camp fee is $150.00, which includes Saturday and Sunday on-ice sessions
plus access to discounted hotel accommodations.
 

**Due to the over whelming response of players not planning to play at the collegiate level, the league has agreed to open the roster to players 18 and older.  If you feel you have what it take to play at this level, contact us at procamp@jerseyrockhoppers.com!

The Jersey Rockhoppers 2008 Pro Tryout Camp
  • The Jersey Rockhoppers will hold the 2008 Professional Hockey Prospect Camp at the Richard J. Codey Arena in West Orange, NJ on August 15th – 17th, 2008. The General Manager, Head Coach and staff will attend the 2008 Tryout Camp that is open to qualified players age 18 and older upon review of their application either onsite or via WEB registration. Players are advised to preregister via the web registration page with a resume to secure a spot at Camp. Onsite Registration for open spots will be posted Friday after application review is complete.
  • “We are expecting a talented bunch of players at this intense try out camp this year,” said Igor Mrotchek, Jersey Rockhoppers Owner. “This year we expect to discover players who otherwise might not have had the opportunity to play professional hockey”.
  • The 2008 Rockhopper Tryout Camp is the 1st Annual Open Tryout, offering invitations to the 2008 Jersey Rockhoppers Training Camp, in preparations of their inaugural EPHL season. Brian Gratz, Head coach of the Jersey Rockhoppers was responsible for sending several player up to the next level last year including Justin Depretis who moved on to Flint of the IHL and even earned a call-up to the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins. Several players from Gratz’s 2007 camp saw action in the ECHL, including: 5 players to the Reading Royals, 2 to the Elmira Jackals, 2 to the Cincinnati Cyclones, and 3 to the Johnstown Chiefs
  • A minimum of 4 players will be invited to the Jersey Rockhoppers Pro Camp in October. Only the most qualified players will be accepted. Camp fee is $150.00, which includes on-ice sessions and access to discounted hotel accommodations (Fri., Aug. 15th & Sat., Aug.16th) to be posted this month.
